Tips for Surviving Trauma with Trauma Recovery Coach and Crisis Advocate Sara Miley (FMP Podcast 100)

surviving trauma

Episode 100 of the Fit Mother Project Podcast is all about surviving trauma and how to make sense of your traumas so you can heal from them.

In this episode, you’ll meet Sara Miley, an IFS-informed, advanced-certified trauma recovery coach and an experienced crisis advocate.

Through her own learned and lived experiences, she is passionate about helping survivors find the roots of their suffering. Her focus is on survivors of developmental/childhood trauma, attachment wounds, emotional abuse and neglect, and cPTSD — those often struggling with the emotional and relational aftereffects of dysfunctional formative years.

She has her own all-virtual private practice called Full Circle Wellspring LLC, and she is the founder of the Personalized Trauma Healing System — a curated lifestyle design program focusing on personal development and self-care for survivors.

She is also the host of the Trauma Survivorhood Podcast, which aims to diminish stigmas, bring stories of hope and inspiration, and share resources for the survivor community.

This is an incredible conversation for anyone to hear, but especially parents. We probably all have some things that happened in our childhood that may still be affecting our behaviors.

And we can also look at our kids and see that the same could be happening to them right in front of our own eyes.

In this episode, you’ll learn about:

  • The effects of trauma and the different ways it manifests itself throughout our lives.
  • How to understand and heal from our past traumas.
  • Dealing with unregulated behaviors and emotions.
  • Making sense of your own mental health journey.
  • How trauma affected Sara — and what she did about it.
  • And so much more!

So, if you want to get the most from your health and fitness efforts, listen to this episode on surviving trauma, take some notes, and check out FM30X
